The Bollywood Ball will have a Boo. Bexy is going to the Henries.

In the midst of the mayhem of the summer holidays, I was feeling nervous. The waiting for that infamous email to see if I had been nominated for a category at The Henries was almost tortuous!  Then finally the email arrived! I am a finalist,  I had made it through for the second year running, in the same category as the year before, with the same range (but  extended!) ‘INCREDIBLE’ I cried, YIPPEE! I shouted, OMGeeee’s! I hollered and BLOOMING heck! whoops nearly swore.

It is the most prestigious award ceremony within the Greeting card Industry and one I am truly honoured to be apart of. Having been a finalist last year for the best Relation / Occassion range for The Wooden Wishes and winning The Best Hand made / Finished category last year for my Scrabbley Neon range, I honestly thought that was difficult to beat. However this year with being nominated again in the same category for the same Scrabbley Neon range,  extended by 50 or so new designs, was just simply mind blowing and did I celebrate. I jumped for joy like a crazy laydee, being careful not to spill my glass of prosecco: It’s all about priorities. 

So how did I get through?

I sent all my new designs to be judged in front of a panel of over 40 top greeting card retailers including buyers from Paperchase, John Lewis, Waterstones, Scribbler and many more.  Over 14,000 cards were entered so to have made it this far, I am beyond pleased. Plus I get to be involved in the party of the year, a Bollywood Ball which promises to be full of fun and frivolities. 

So with a beautiful red dress kindly lent to me by my beautiful sister Janna, my Pri-marni red shoes and my lovely daughter Amelie doing some crazy henna tattooing, Bexy will go to the ball and promises not to leave at midnight.
