Space on the Mantlepiece and Hooray for the Henries!
Well what fun we had at the Henries Award ceremony this year and the Bollywood theme was just fantastic. The outfits were the brightest, sparkliest and most original I have ever seen at an Award event. The creativity was certainly flowing as well as the fizzy at the Windles Pre dinner drinks party.
Well I didn’t raise the winning trophy for best hand finished / made greeting card this year but it all did feel different in a good way. It just all felt right and I felt so happy. I think it is because I have learnt so much over the past couple of years that I am finally feeling that I am actually getting there. That I deserve to be here with the business and the wonderful Boo girls, but also how much happier I am now in myself. They are all inexplicably linked as a well run business, with a great team that you can trust will all help to alleviate some of the pressure off your shoulders. Even if they are as big as mine.
I was so pleased for Rosie from Rosie made a Thing as she won Best Humour. It couldn’t have gone to a more deserved and most loveliest of ladies. Go Rosie x
So we boogied the night away, smoozed and gossiped and had a Bollywood Ball!
Until next year, when I try my hardest once again, to design ranges that are worthy of this fantastic event! Best get sketching.
Lots of love
